Our students flourish academically. Examination results at all levels are consistently well above national averages. Students who join in Year 2 can continue their tutorial seamlessly until year 11, alongside teachers and friends with whom they have established relationships over a long period of time. This continuity has much to do with the impressive results we have achieved.
The academy is privileged to have a highly qualified, experienced and committed team of staff who work extremely hard to provide students with a challenging and stimulating learning environment. We strive to establish an ethos where all students of the academy are respected and can develop a real sense of their individual worth. We have high expectations of our students and achievement is celebrated at all levels.
We offer a range of diverse and enriching experiences for the students in our care. We encourage all students to play a full part in their tutoring sessions and also participate where required to achieve the maximum from every session they attend. Such opportunities complement the academic work at St. Marys academy and give our students the chance to feel valued and to develop as young citizens. From Year 2 to year 11 our academy encourages, motivates and supports learners from all levels by offering our students something to excite their interest and help them feel part of the school.
We offer first class facilities which are well maintained to provide our students with a safe and pleasant environment to work in. There is an ongoing programme of development to meet curriculum needs, but also improve the building structure.
